Diaz Automotives LLC
Warranty & Customer-Supplied Parts Policy
This policy explains what Diaz Automotives LLC stands behind, and how requests involving customer-supplied parts or outside diagnoses are handled.
Parts we supply and our workmanship
When we source the parts and perform the diagnosis and repair, our work is backed for the coverage period stated on your invoice, subject to the part manufacturer's own warranty terms. If a part we supplied fails within that period, contact us and we will inspect the concern and address it under the applicable coverage.
Customer-requested and customer-supplied parts
We may accept customer-requested or customer-supplied parts at our discretion. In those cases, coverage on the part itself is between you and the seller of that part; we do not warrant parts we did not supply. Our labor coverage for installing a supplied part is limited to the installation itself and is stated on your invoice.
If a customer-supplied part is defective, incorrect, or fails, additional labor to remove and reinstall a replacement is generally billable.
Outside diagnoses and requested repairs
You are welcome to request a specific repair based on another shop's diagnosis or your own research, and we will tell you honestly what we think. However, if Diaz Automotives did not perform the diagnosis, installing the requested part does not guarantee that the underlying concern will be resolved. In that situation the requested work is performed as directed, and further diagnostic time may be needed if the symptom remains.
If you would like certainty before spending on parts, ask us to diagnose the concern first. Diagnostic service starts at $100.
What coverage does not extend to
Coverage does not extend to unrelated components, pre-existing conditions, damage caused by abuse, collision, neglect, contaminated fluids, or continued operation after a fault was identified, or to concerns arising from work performed by others.
Making a claim
Contact us as soon as you notice a concern with recent work. We will review the invoice, inspect the vehicle, and determine what applies under this policy and the part manufacturer's terms. Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under applicable Colorado or federal consumer protection law.
Repairs requiring shop equipment
Some repairs require a lift or specialized shop equipment and cannot be performed as mobile service. Where that applies, we will say so rather than attempt work we cannot complete correctly on site.
